We built the first commercial damage assessment app compatible in Google, Apple and Windows for the American Red Cross in 2015. Rapid, accurate data collection is critical to get victims of hurricanes, tornadoes fires, earthquakes and other disasters. In those days volunteers would work long hours manually writing down the damage assessment and then other volunteers would transcribe the handwritten records into Microsoft Excel that would ultimately make it to FEMA for relief dollars. Situational analysis was garnered from word of mouth reports.
