Most organizations have paper or electronic methods of recording information for use in other systems. Generally, the process starts with something on paper which is then transcribed into an electronic format such as Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint or other word processing tools by Apple and Google, or directly into an enterprise data system.

Many times, the information is transcribed and edited, including photos, and at times video clips or audio recordings. The information is then distributed to people who need to know the information to take further action. The data can be urgently needed or have a long life cycle.

All of these steps involve manpower and time to process the information to get it into an actionable format. Converting the data collection process from manual to electronic eliminates countless hours of manual labor, improves data integrity, and rapidly gets information immediately to the people who need to know.

We can also connect the app directly to a MapToTrack dashboard for analytics or an array of enterprise systems using an assortment of data connectors or REST API.

We have a look at the form or the needed information and develop a Requirements Document which includes a design that includes the capture of text, checklists, photos, notes, videos, audio even documents, contracts, and drawings that can be opened and electronically edited and signed. Once the design meets your approval, we create the app, report, dispatching tools, and dashboards as needed. We take care to understand your current workflow to ensure all steps are included, which is why our Requirements Document provides the blueprint for the work. If the workforce is new to mobilization, we build a training app so they can become familiar with how things work. Training materials are developed to support the deployment of the tools. Complimentary Zoom training sessions are provided to ensure everyone is comfortable with the tools.

Fleet, Device and Asset Tracking

Introduced when developing a mobilization solution for Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTD), MapToTrack built a mobile app for the maintenance contractors, all small businesses, who keep the rail and bus shelters clean for the traveling public. In the past, the contractors had to provide written documentation of their work, resulting in significant manual labor preparing the reports to prove where they were and what they did. MapToTrack added a fleet and device tracking solution so that RTD and their contractors can see where everyone is during the day and night - particularly important during snow removal. Now everyone has a record of where they were and what they did. Contract compliance is assured. And the contractors have a record of their work in case of a patron accident from tripping or falling. Over a half million pieces of paper have been eliminated since the tool’s deployment in 2017. What’s best is the contractors eliminated a great deal of manual labor and cost. Assets such as trailers and equipment are tracked on the platform for comprehensive visibility.
