The snow season has arrived…
As we return to work from the holiday season, where snow conjures up images of reindeer with red noses, we are reminded of images of slip-and-fall accidents on sidewalks, street crosswalks, curbs, parking lots, bus and train stations, airports - anywhere that has ice and snow. These hazards and images will be with us for the next 5 months so we have published an e-book that outlines MapToTrack resources for training, communicating, and documenting snow and ice removal from just about anywhere. You can download a copy of this ebook written expressly for transit agencies here.
Since January 1, 2016, we have helped Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTD) in this area, eliminating literally millions of pieces of paper that had to be submitted by contractors documenting their snow removal and janitorial work throughout the district. Today RTD knows what is going on everywhere with snow removal and janitorial work in real-time, ensuring the district is as safe and clean as possible for the traveling public.
MapToTrack provides a method of assuring contract compliance in the all-important work of snow & ice removal which protects the public, the property owner, and the snow removal contractor. Safety is everyone’s job. During this time of year, It pays to wear snow boots or spikes that give shoes more traction on uncertain surfaces. Property owner due diligence, snow removal contractor training, documentation, and good work routines help everyone stay safer during and after storms
Our 2023 New Year’s Day wish to everyone is a safe and happy snow season - that does not include a slip and fall accident.
